Growing up can be quite an awkward experience in our lives. You Will Be Okay explores the perspective of a young girl as she transitions through the challenges and responsibilities of adulthood. From dealing with love confessions, tragedy, or even discovering who one is as a person, the challenges that the protagonist faces are meant to be relatable. What is unique about Huang's take on a coming-of-age story is her ability to visually represent all of these external and internal voices and thoughts in a way that is compelling. Viewers will be able to walk away from the animation with a sense of assurance that everything will be okay.
