INTERFACES

"Interfaces" meshes extrospective works that showcase the interactions between the self and various environments, focusing on the systems and connections that shape our experiences. Each work in this section examines how individuals engage with external worlds, including technology, the physical environment, and broader social realities. For example, Jesette Alveza's X Marks the Spot uses an interactive digital map to explore memory and personal geography. Ethan Koros's A Little Bit Board engages with the physical environment by transforming urban spaces into sites of movement and reinterpretation. Kianna Adams's He Told Me The Violets Were Poisonous reflects on social realities, examining queer identity, visibility, and the pressures that shape personal expression. Together, these works reveal how the self is continuously shaped through interaction with the surrounding world.
