The New Media Artspace docent team hosted their fall semester pop-up exhibition EtherPets from September 10th-13th 2019. EtherPets was an interactive, participatory art process that allowed participants to borrow a furry companion as they studied in Baruch's library. Participants could confide in their furry friends while studying by scanning the QR Code, which was taped on their furry buddies, or going to etherpets.tumblr.com/submit. Once on the website, participants could shout into the Ether, telling their EtherPet how they are feeling. Participants could also go online to see other folks' responses in the EtherPet network of feelings and emotions.
The gallery is open to the public by appointment during regular library hours. Please contact newmediaartspace@gmail.com to arrange a visit.
